Sign-up control

Gate new sign-ups during the beta. In Referral code only mode people need the code to register. The cap is the maximum number of times the code can be used - sign-ups (and their SMS cost) stop once it's reached, and you can raise it any time to let more people in. Rejected attempts never send an SMS.

Notifications webhook

One URL receives a JSON POST for each event - new sign-up, new enquiry, and the annual chart release. Each body carries a type field and event-specific details. Must be HTTPS. If you set a secret, it's sent as an X-Webhook-Token header (use it directly as an n8n Header Auth value) and as an X-DVC-Signature: sha256=… HMAC.

What we collect and why

Account details - your mobile number (used to verify your identity by SMS) and, optionally, your email address. Lawful basis: performance of the service you asked for, and your consent.

Your DVC information - the membership numbers, contract numbers, use years, points balances, bookings and planned trips you choose to enter. This is used only to provide the planning features to you. We do not use it for anything else and never sell it.

Security logs - sign-in attempts and verification requests (with IP address) are kept briefly to protect the service from abuse.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors purely to run the service: Twilio (to send your SMS verification code), our hosting provider (to store the data), and - if the operator has configured one - an internal notification endpoint that receives an alert when you sign up (so we know to support you). We do not share your data with advertisers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, export or erase your data. You can export everything we hold (Settings → Your data) and delete your account yourself (Settings → Danger zone) at any time. To exercise any other right, contact us at the address above. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and local storage

We keep what we store on your device to a strict minimum, and use none of it for advertising, analytics or tracking:

A first-party session cookie - set when you sign in, to keep you logged in. It is strictly necessary to provide the service, so it does not require your consent, and it expires when your session ends.

Your theme preference - your light / dark choice (“Daytime” or “Fireworks night”) is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It is a first-party setting you control, holds no personal data, and is never shared.

Because everything we store is either strictly necessary or a functional preference you set yourself, we do not show a cookie consent banner. We use no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies.
